Reverend George C. Gilbert, Sr., CELEBRATES 40 YEARS IN THE MINISTRY

 

Washington, D.C. – Rev. George C. Gilbert, Sr., pastor of Holy Trinity United Baptist Church in northeast Washington, will celebrate 40 years of service in the ministry on March 31, 2014.  

 

Pastor Gilbert has been an active leader and participant in Washington’s religious community having served as former President of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Washington, D.C. and Vicinity; Regional Vice President of the Eastern Region of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc.; Secretary of the Baptist Convention of the District of Columbia and Vicinity;  Executive Board Member of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc.; and President of the Baptist Convention of the District of Columbia and Vicinity.

 

The Holy Trinity United Baptist Church Family will honor Pastor Gilbert on Sunday, March 30, 2014 during Morning Worship at 11.a.m. and at a special program at 4 p.m. Guest preacher for the afternoon service is Dr. Leonard N. Smith, senior pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Arlington, VA.
